Who We Are

Kasia is the Co-Founder and Chairperson of Krakowiak Polish Dance Group CLG, where she provides strategic leadership while overseeing the organisation's governance, programme development and financial management. As a volunteer Dance Teacher, she is passionate about making Polish folk dance accessible, engaging and inspiring for children and young people growing up in Ireland.

Polish dance has been part of Kasia's life since childhood. She trained for twelve years with Folk Dance Ensemble Kądziołeczka in Toruń, Poland, four of these years overlapped with performing with Beltaine Irish dance group in Poland. After moving to Ireland, she spent almost twelve years with Polish Folk Dance Group Koniczyna  where for almost six years she also coordinated and taught children's and youth groups within the organisation. Alongside Polish folk dance, she has continued studying ballet and Irish dance, believing that a broad dance education helps young dancers develop strong technique, musicality and artistic expression.

Committed to lifelong learning, Kasia regularly undertakes professional development to ensure Krakowiak offers high-quality, child-centred dance classes. Her qualifications include the Social Dance Teacher Diploma (recognised by the DanceSport Federation of Ireland, 2025), Progressing Ballet Technique Level 1 (2025), First Aid Responder (2025) and a rhythmics workshop (2020). She also participates in specialist workshops in Poland focused on Polish national dances and children's dance methodology. In her previous organisation, she was responsible for managing the Garda Vetting process, further strengthening her understanding of safeguarding and volunteer management.

Outside the studio, Kasia volunteers countless hours managing the organisation, developing choreography, maintaining and expanding Krakowiak's costume collection, researching regional traditions and preserving Polish cultural heritage. She has built an extensive library of books, music and educational resources relating to Polish folklore and traditional dance.

Professionally, she works as a Programme Manager in technology consulting, bringing expertise in leadership, governance, strategic planning and organisational development to Krakowiak.

As the mother of two young children, Kasia believes dance is about much more than learning steps. She sees it as a powerful way to build confidence, resilience, teamwork, creativity, discipline and lifelong friendships while helping children develop pride in their cultural heritage. Her vision is to create a welcoming organisation where every child feels valued, every family feels part of the community and Polish traditions continue to thrive for future generations.
